Your Envy

Biography

Your Envy was created back in 1996 by Shawn Sherwood (guitar) and Tylr Wladyko (drums). Tim Nosworthy (bass) soon joined to complete the band line-up. Created from those practice sessions, is a few basic Heavy Metal songs and a Judas Priest cover of 'Living After Midnight'. Late in 2001, Andrew Kiiskila (right) took over bass and vocal duties. Tim then left to pursue other musical interests, and Tylr continued to play only as a guest drummer. Shawn (Guitar/Vocals) soon took over the drums to create the first two independently recorded Cd's.

Your Envy's latest project is based on the anti-genre style of music which they created for themselves back in the late 90's. The band creates an atmosphere of uncertainty and surprise while listening. Styles range from bright acoustic ballads to ripping metal riffs, bringing along every style in between. Dynamically upbeat and technically melodic would describe most of Your Envy's songs. Both clean and heavy vocalists lead you through darkness, regrets, and erratic thoughts.
