Wåttamezz

Wåttamezz has a history back to 1994. Although there was difficulties in finding time to keep the band together, due to work and other musical projects, they kept writing new material. Tommy recorded an album with Godsend in 1995 and another band called Atrox in 1997. In the meantime the rest of the guys kept writing songs, and Tommy joined them to record a 8-song cd called “Kinky Bastards” in 1997 with long-time friend Edgar as engineer. Even though the cd was well received by Norwegian magazines “Scream Magazine”, “Metal Shuffle” and “Beat”, the band ceased to exist.
Knut, Paul and Kent was busy working their asses off, Gunnar wanted to keep on making music, and formed Project GodDog in 2001. He released a demo in 2002, which he played and programmed all music himself, and brought in old friends Asgeir and Tommy to sing on it. In the meantime Tommy had left Atrox, and was now busy touring and recording demos in 1998-99 and two albums between 2000 and 2002 with the band Griffin . By 2003 Tommy was out of Griffin , and he began discussing a Wåttamezz reunion together with Gunnar and Paul. The three of them felt that the time was right to take the band to a new level, and contacted Knut and Kent, who happily rejoined the band. They immediately began writing new material, contacted old friend Edgar who was so thrilled by the reunion news, that he promised them free studio time.
Wåttamezz entered Edgars studio summer/autumn 2003 and recorded two songs with Edgar as engineer and Ronny from the bands Eargasm and Blueprint as producer. The result was a kick ass single called “Suicide Jesus”, and it was released spring 2004.
They won a music contest on Norwegian national tv right after that, winning a record contract with VME.
They will spend most of the summer 2005 in the studio record the new longplayer released sometime in the fall/winter of 2005.
