Biography

1993
Time of creation: Tidfall´s origin, Pagan Divinity, began rehearsing their first songs during winter 1992-93.

1995
Times of change: Throughout the year of 1995 the band decided to reinforce their ranks with two new members. The music had developed into a state where the basic lineup no longer where sufficient to manage rehearsals and gig´s properly.

1998
Black Psychotic Darkness: Finally, the time when things started happening. After a year and a half of making and rehearsing new material the band recorded their "Black Psychotic Darkness"-demo.

2000
Circular Supremacy: It was Samoth of Emperor who called them, and told that he and his label "Nocturnal Art Productions" wanted to sign Tidfall.

2001
Instinct Gate: Some time passed since the recording and release of "Circular Supremacy". With the writing of new material, the musical and compositorial direction of Tidfall was becoming subject for discussion and disagreement.

2002
The most prospourous year so far for Tidfall. Started out with a long european tour where they finally got the chance to play live for the international fans.

2003: So far, so good!
In the pre-prod meantime, booking of studio and early plans for the release were taken care of. It turned out that Akkerhaugen was the best studio-option for this material too. Taken into consideration that the studio had undertaken a great "facelift" from last time and were running just the equipment Tidfall was after, Torbjørn, the sound engineer they had worked with on the previous albums, also showed great interest in working with them again.
