Biography

The history of Satanochio begins in the winter of 2004, somewhere in the suburbs of Bucharest, when Satan Imparat - drums and Satanochio voice and guitar, decide to create a special music, never heard before in the Romanian underground. Since the beginning the band wanted to keep a very dark image, the members` true identity remaining unknown to this day. With this line-up Satanochio launches the first "bomb" in the Romanian and international underground, a cruel sample of repulsion and hate towards everything that`s going on in Romania.

The material, titled "The First Strike of the Possessed" was launched in early 2005. Although the press was acting in spite of this project, the material is declared sold-out in only 3 weeks.

Just a month after the launch of the debut MCD, the drummer, Satan Imarat, suffers an accident which forces him to end the collaboration with Satanochio. In May, Satanochio decides to make a gift to a devoted fan, at that moment with a one-man-band statute. Thus is born "The Naughty Nightfall Massacre" a 6-track release limited to one Copy (!!!). The music on this unique material is somewhat different than the one on "First Strike..." showcasing the Satanochio specific evil- metal but from another perspective.

After a long series of problems and threats, Satanochio finds a new member, called Grui Sanger (drums/guitar). Together, they enter their own studio with the purpose of recording the first full-length release.

During the recording session for I Am Satanochio, the band works with Twilight13media design studio for their first video-clip ever Dracu-Dreaku, coming off their debut release The First Strike of the Possessed.

Satanochio releases on 09.09.2005 the maxi single Daemon to allow the public to gasp their new musical approach. Daemon contains 3 tracks and 2 videos.

In late 2005 Satanochio participates in the METALKOMBAT contest initiated by one of the biggest national webzines, Metafan. The band is also featured on the"Suport pentru underground" Maximum Rock compilation, followed by a series of interviews for webzines and fanzines all over the world.
In its own special way, Satanochio celebrates its first year of activity by setting up a contest for the fans. The submitted photographs that prooved themselves to be the most "TRV" were featured on the band's website and won prizes like autographed "Daemon" releases, posters and stickers.
During November-December 2005 Satanochio takes part in the contest initiated by Nuclear Blast. Shooting for the video of the "Revelation" track started in February 2006. Mixing and production of the debut album, "I am Satanochio" is finished in March 2006.

The debut album, "I Am Satanochio" is official released through Axa Valaha Productions on the fatal date 06.06.06.The cd is fully - professional and it represents the biggest investment ever in a Romanian underground black metal band. The album is highly promoted, and it is distributed by local labels in Germany, France, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Russia, Hungary and USA. For the promotion of "I Am Satanochio" were made 7 videos, Satanochio becoming the Romanian band with most videos shotted for an album. An interview about the entity of Satanochio appears on one of the biggest romanian metal magazines, Maximum Rock. In late november, "You Deserve to Die" , a quite strange videoclip is released. For the 2 years anniversary, a re-recorded, re-mixed track "Heihaiheihei" is released as a sigle, on january 2007 and this single presents also the first Satanochio video-clip in 2007.

Satanochio is included again in MAXIMUM ROCK COMPILATION, this time with the track "I Am Satanochio". On April 2007 is announced the brand-new member of Satanochio. His name is Nimenea, and it will be from this date the drummmer in the band.

9 Official videos, some rare uncut scenes and the first video interview with Satanochio will appear on their first dvd. The title is "Dark Visions From The Fog" and it's set to be out in June.
