Biography

SANCTIFICATION was spawned in the summer of 2001 when members of Divine desecration and Chastisement decided to join forces.Tomas Elofsson, Mathias Mohlin, Daniel Dlimi :(Divine Desecration). Nils Fjelström: (Chastisement)

At that point the line up was still one man short so they recruited Peter jönsson on bass and the line up was complete.

In Late fall Daniel (guitar) decided to quit the band to concentrate on his other band (Aeon).

During the spring 2002 SANCTIFICATION recorded their first demo, it contained four bone crushing songs (2 songs where left with no vocals on due to technical problems in the studio).

The demo did get tremendous response from zinez and other people that heard or bought it.

During late spring 2002 SANCTIFICATION unleashed their wrath for the first time live, it took place in Östersund – Sweden. At that time Peter left the band due to personal reasons. He was replaced with axe wielder Jörgen Bylander who has been playing in bands like Defaced creation & Deranged.

They totally crushed the audience and when they left they where amazed with the bands performance.

Until today the band has been busy with song writing and and are now releasing their first album called Misanthropic salvation.

The album will be released on remission records.

They have alot of experience from playing with bands as Divine desecration, Chastisement, Aeon, Defaced creation, Deranged, Proserphine and Condemned.
