Forming in 1976, in New York, Mark Reale put together a band that represents true heavy metal..
Over the years Riot has released many classic albums such as "Restless Breed", "Thundersteel" and their definitive album "Fire Down Under". Reale disbanded Riot in 1984, and went on to form the Mark Reale Project. After putting together a new line-up in 1987, Riot recorded and released "Thundersteel", and "The Priviledge of Power" in 1990. Since 1992, Riot has gained popularity in Japan and Europe with the release of such albums as "Riot in Japan-live" (1992), "Nightbreaker", and their most recent release from 2002 "Through the Storm". (In the downtime from Riot, Mark Reale teamed up with Tony Harnell (TNT vocalist) to form Westworld, who have since issued 3 studio cds and one live cd.)
