Biography

QUSAYU is an extreme technical death metal band. Originally formed in 1997 in the Rochester NY. area by the founding members, David Myers;guitar/vocals, Phil Volkmar;guitar, John Myers;bass, John Cummings;drums. After many lineup changes one of the remaining founding members (Phil Volkmar) moved to the Moberly Missouri area. Where he recruited new members for QUSAYU.

QUSAYU'S present lineup as of 2006 is Phil Volkmar:Lead Guitar and Vocals: Michael Hickam:Rhythm-Lead Guitar, Justin Welch: Bass, Thurion Lack(aka T-BONE) drums. The band is ready to uphold its name from the past to the future.

Qusayu is a symphony of chaos and driving hate. The band unloads brutal music. The drums send out a flux of pounding beats while the bass flows out a cutting low end and fast outlines. The technical guitar riffs are fast and brutal. The vocals come from the 7th pit of hell and the solos scream extreme skill and morbid drive.
