Biography

2003 reunited two old friends after studies had split them up. Per and Peter had always wanted to do something together musically, and now they had the time to do it. After a few sessions together they had enough material, but no one to play with. They both knew Vikkis since before, and the fact that she had a brilliant voice made her a natural component of the band. Per had met the drummer Hampus a few months earlier, and he was really interested to play with them. The band was now complete. They immediately started working on the material that Per and Peter had made together, and Vikkis quickly found inspirations for lyrics. This way of working has proven to be quite effective for the band. The summer was used to rehearse and work with new material, and the very next autumn they went in to the recording studio. However, the results was quite disappointing, but they knew they had a winning concept. The studio disappointment was put aside, and the band started performing live. The rumors started about a new high energy rock act, and the very next summer (2004) the band found themselves voted to play at PDOL’s Demo-stage. PDOL is one of Sweden's biggest music festivals. This gig proved to be a big success – both with the audience and the press. This lead to a lot of people asking for recordings of Poue. This, and the fact that the band was ready to take this to another level made them go back to the studio, and this time the result was a lot better.
