METAL MIKE CHLASCIAK QUICK ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
PAINMUSEUM/ TESTAMENT/ HALFORD guitar demon Metal Mike Chlasciak is most commonly known as the guitarist who helped Judas Priest vocalist ROB HALFORD reclaim and hold his status as the true Metal God. Metal Mike is the guitarist for Rob Halford’s endeavor HALFORD. Metal Mike has written and appeared on all Halford recordings "Resurrection", "Live Insurrection", "Crucible" and "Fourging The Furnace". All albums are available on the Metal-is/ Sanctuary Records Label.
Metal Mike toured the world several times over with Halford supporting Iron Maiden, Queensryche and many more. This included a sold out date at Madison Square Garden in 2000 and the famous Rock In Rio Festival in Brasil with over 350,000 people in attendance. He appears in all 4 Halford MTV/ VH-1 videos "Made In Hell", "Cyberworld", "Betrayal" and “In The Morning”.
Metal Mike leads his own solo endeavor PAINMUSEUM whose debut album "Metal For Life" is currently enjoying much attention and critical acclaim from the Metal community. "Metal For Life" has seen a 2004/2005 release across North America, Europe, Japan, Asia and Central America through Demolition Records via Universal Distribution. "Metal For Life" is mixed by Roy Z. (Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Helloween, Halford) and the musician line-up features Bobby Jarzombek (Iced Earth, Halford, Riot), Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus, Death) and vocal power demon Tim Clayborne.
A scholarship graduate of Berklee College of Music, Metal Mike has released 3 solo instrumental albums "Grind Textural Abstractions", "Territory: Guitar Kill !!" and "The Spilling". As a solo artist Mike usually shares stages with other Guitar Heroes such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Morse or Ronnie Montrose.
During Rob Halford’s return to Judas Priest, Mike has also joined Bay Area Thrash Legends TESTAMENT and already concluded a Summer Festival Tour 2004 where the band hit major stadiums all over Europe and Scandinavia, sharing bills with Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Motorhead and Judas Priest to name a few. Mike concluded an already stellar Testament line-up of Chuck Billy, Eric Peterson, Steve DiGiorgio and former Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph. Testament is currently recording a new album for early 2005, due out on Spitfire Records.
In addition to the already packed 2005, Metal Mike will once again reunite with The Metal God himself for a new HALFORD studio album and following tour.
