Biography

Before you could call us a real band, it took a few line up changes. At that moment it was not already serious but more something like a try out.

In September 2002, we had our recent line up together and from there on our history really begins.

We started seriously writing songs and our rehearsals became more and more intense. After a time I began to create an own vision of metal music and I try to realize this vision from song to song.
-Let me explain the idea:
First of all our music shall kick some ass. We try to sound modern without making Nu Metal or shit like that.
We only try to sound like Ophidian and not like this or that band even if it is not that easy in a time where every five seconds a new band is born. We also try to put some melancholy and depressive feelings in the music and exactly this is the biggest challenge of our music; to put emotions in heavy and groovy song structures. We hope to realize this idea one day as good as we can.
We only want that our music owns a little relevance and independence in a world where uninspiration and plagiarism are not very rare.

From September to February we wrote our first couple of songs.
Our first gig we ever played where the emergenza preselections where we could reach the finals. In the same month we recorded our first demo CD where you can hear of our first songs. This record was released in April 2003. Over the whole year of 2003 we had several other gigs. Until now we are working on songs and we want to make a full length album for 2004. We hope to release this one in summer 2004…

After a few Concerts we started our recordings in february 2004; mixing will go on till July.

On Saturday the 17th of April Max F. played his last concert with Ophidian. Time didn`t allow him to carry much further on...
June 2004: Philip takes Max `s part as our new Bassplayer.
