2000
Everything begins in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republica), under a winter twilight of XXXV ANNO Sathanas (2000 A.C.). Embraced by the nocturnal fog, Merodac borns as an idea of Lord Mantus, Dominus Enthronus Diabolus and Sir Courgen, with influences of different european cultures and the black arts. The members who formed Merodac at that time were Lord Mantus (screams), Dominus Enthronus (guitars), Sir Courgen (guitars), Nergal (bass), Murgenn (synth/piano) and Count Dracole (drumms). They chose the name Merodac because of Marduk: a babilonian god charged of hate and passion. The greeks used to call him Merodac. During this year the band hided itself from the local metal scene to improve musically. In this same year the band acquires a weird reputation as "Bible Crushers" (because of a false rumor) which they will lose soon after.
2001
During 2001 the band starts to play live in concerts, and starts becoming one of the most important band in the dominican metal scene, and the third black metal band in its land together with Divinis Invocat and ex-Infernal Requiem. In june Nergal decides to leave the band for personal reasons, so Merodac auditiones 4 bass players and the chosen is David Rodriguez (Vampyr), also vocalist of the ex- band Black Forest. In the end of this year the band participates at concerts "Rock Sobre El Tunel" and "Metal En El Boulevard".
2002
Already in the beginning of the year things were starting to go badly with Vampyr, and so he was thrown out of the band because "he did not show to have interest". So once again Merodac auditiones new bassists to finally choose Dusk (bassist of ex-Sphere). Merodac begins with new expectations. The band finally records a track called "Eterna Recurrencia" and spreads it through the internet. During this year the band participates to a lot of concerts, such as "Nightroof", "Metal A Tu Cerebro", "Circuito Concierto II", "Rock In Extremo", etc... and also plans the recording of their first discographical production destined to be a split CD, together with Divinis Invocat, called "El Amanecer De Las Almas Oscuras" and including 8 tracks. The release was never pubblished or recorded. But from the other side the band records "Mas Alla de las Puertas del Sheol", which is their first EP and first discographical work.
2003
In 2003 Dominus Diabolus leaves the band and its place it's taken by one of the most important guitarists of the Metal scene , Joel Solano (Icarus Morten), also guitarist for Archaios/Legion. With Joel in the cords, the band takes greater prestige, showing greater quality in its musical works and keeping its place as one of the most important bands of the metal scene. The band begins to have problems with its Keyboardist Murgen Oshant, and decides to leave Murgen outside line up, and her place is occupied by Hell Face (Ex Legion); with Hellface in the band, Merodac takes a dark style, basing its melodies on the wreck and depressing, but always keeping its heavyness. Various concerts follow again, including even a Tour in Santiago together with Archaios, Altus Mortem , etc.. and one at the "Club De Los Mayoristas" with Archaios and the legendary Necro.
2004
The band retires back to their cave of composition forging 10 new excelent tracks released in their second discographic material entitled: "The Zaroth Revelations" (which tells the adventures of a character called Zaroth comed to put some things right in this world). "The Zaroth Revelations" is released under Just More Records, since the band has in the meanwhile signed with them. In August the album is launched together with a great concert following a period of "rest".
Now Merodac is working his third album.
