Biography

Turn the gears of death… the power-driven beast know as MecanizM has been unleashed upon the metal scene creating chaos by combining melodies with brutal riffs , earth rattling bass lines and straight out of hell vocals. MecanizM delivers intense and dominating live performances.

The Milwaukee, WI based Metal Band, MecanizM (formally know as Rise Against Society), started in 2000. Raf got the band going and Val joined. The first demo was soon after recorded, immediately receiving local radio play on The Hog (formerly Lazer 103) and Rock 1021. After many years of playing local shows and gaining a big fan following, in 2004 they were given the opportunity to open up for national metal acts Kittie and Otep at The Rave in Milwaukee Wisconsin. In late 2006 Raf and Val decided to revamp the band giving it a fresh look while elevating the musical potential and establishing a goal of making the band a touring act. This is when MecanizM was given birth. They posted an online ad for a drummer. After numerous try-outs, they came across Johnny. Showing his potential, great drumming ability, and dedication to music, Johnny was offered the drummer position, which he immediately accepted. He brings intensity unmatched to the band with a vast metal/trash and punk influence. Raf was talking to Ben for 6 months about music and what his goals were. They soon formed a connection. In January of 2007 Ben came down to try-out. Being 6 hours from where the band practices was not going to stop his pursue of finding a talented band that is dedicated in accomplishing their musical goals. A month later the band found their bass player when Ben joined the band. He brings his many years of experience playing for various metal and jazz bands while also adding an intimidating stage presence. MecanizM is ready to devour the metal scene with their elegantly-but-deadly brutal music, Turn the Gears of Death… MecanizM.
