Biography

Settled in Hannover (Lower Saxony, Germany), Kreonauts flocked together in autumn 2003 after a while axeman Mark and drummer Marco spent to find well fitting bandmates and write some songs.

After all we found the right name that autumn of hopefully conspiring meetings: Kreon. It refers to Sophokles Antigone. King Kreon was a man of might who was personally fucked up by his own system. A very strange tragedy.

Our goal is to create exactly that kind of brutal but narrative Death Metal we love to listen to as fans. Our ideals are (among others) Morbid Angel, Immolation, Autopsy, Luciferion und some of the good old Stockholm Death fathers. On the other hand we were always longing for a unique, personal sound to occupy and hold our very own alcove in Death Metal. After releasing our first demo cd Demo Spring 05 and recovering from kinda tsunami of enthused reviews we are glad to know we kicked in the right door!

Now, in Sept. 06 we are working hard recording our first longplayer, namely Impact Winter, a heavy birth of a much more technical as well as epical grotesque child of sickness which makes us expect our critics to spread a little more on the scale between grief and euphoria.
