Hellbox

Biography

The beginning of the Hellbox story dates back to the end of the 1980´s. Satansson, Hellkill and Hellman played together in ultra grind core band Nephritis. Nephritis released three demo tapes and split up. They had also Celtic Frost cover band called Kellog´s Frosties in the beginning of the 1990´s. In Kellog´s Frosties played also 2nd guitarist Ramses Demon. After Nephritis and Kellog´s Frosties guys didn´t play together for a while but they didn't stop drinking together. Every time they were drinking together they decided to start a new band.

At last, the first Hellbox rehearsals became reality in September 1998 when Hellbox started as a Venom cover band.
In May 1999 first Hellbox demo "Satanas Lucifre Excelsis" (only Venom covers, never released) recorded in Redhouse Studio in Turku.
In June 1999 Hellbox played their first gig ever in Down by the Laituri open air festival in Turku.
Year 2000 was the year of the changes for Hellbox.
In Jan '00 Hellbox said goodbye to their second guitarist Ramses Demon. Band decided to continue as a trio. Hellbox also decided to concentrate to their own songs instead of being just a Venom cover band.
Second demo "Servevil" recorded in Feb '00, including now 7 own songs. More hi-energy live shows and more new songs came all the time.
Third demo "Helvetium" recorded in Feb '01. The beast was unleashed.
In the end of '01 recorded demo number four "Devileashed". All three demos got excellent reviews from all around the world. During year '02 Hellbox discussed a record deal with few labels but the deal still kept waiting. Band hit the stages harder and louder all the time.
In Mars '03 Hellbox played abroad for the first time. They played a headliner gig in Stockholm (Swe) at Club Alcazar.
In July 2003 Hellbox finally signed record deal (of one release) with the Finnish record label Ktok-Records. Debut album "Sadisticlaw" released in August '03.
In Feb '04 Hellbox plugged in studio again for "Demonatas" session. Soon after that, in April '04 Hellbox turned from trio to quartet. A new beast Hellvis Perversley took a place of lead singer. Now Hellbox spits total poison, harder than ever! The road to Hell has just begun.
