Glitzy Glow
by METALSITES.net @ December 3rd, 2005Biography
2004, Southern Sweden. The cruelty of winter was beginning its rapid onslaught over the land and it’s folk, the Swedes, a stoic people who had tested their mettle for millennium and conquered nature’s icy fury. As the year began to draw to a close, the seas began to freeze over, the ground hardened and life unprepared was vanquished as the darkness tightened it’s grip for the long, merciless months ahead.
It was in the December of that year when the first light began to flicker. At first feint but steadily gathering confidence. Out of the darkness the light began to grow, a glimmer of hope, a spark of optimism, a glow…
A Glitzy Glow.
Guitarist/songwriter Johnny Roxxy together with singer/songwriter Julia Sallander lit the torch that December when they recorded Dragonfly – the ethereal ballad which found instant success on local radio station (insert name). The duo went back into their home-recording studio and 6 weeks and 12 songs later, the hunt for musicians was on. Geoff Lawrence, wandering guitarist from Australia was the first to hear the call and climbed on the bandwagon. Daniel Jackzin, battle hardened ex Angelina Diamonds drummer, heard the call to arms and threw his sticks in the ring. And last but not least, especially considering his towering 196cm(6’6”), the heavens opened, a bolt of lightening cleaved a rent in the earth and out of the smouldering destruction stepped bass player Carl Thunder. The line-up was complete.
