Extinction Agenda

Biography

Formed out of a mutual passion for classic thrash and speed metal and a hatred for trend, Extinction Agenda channel elements of early Slayer, Venom, Razor, Tankard, Sabbat (UK), Exodus and Kreator into a modern medium.

Voltanix was a member of seminal New England black metal outfit December Wolves up until/including the release of Completely Dehumanized through Earache Records in 1998. He was later involved in several independent projects, which culminated in the release of his Serpent Eclipse album The Seven Desires and Wolves’ Blood through Oaken Shield/Adipocere in France.

Iconslaughter has created, composed and performed in a slew of local metal and hardcore acts through the past decade including Dungeonbat, Ironhide, and industrial black metal crossover act Ghidorah. He has released several CDs from each of these under his independent micro-label Storming Sky Industries. He has performed live in past bands alongside everyone from Death, Sick of It All, and Mercyful Fate to Sam Black Church, Converge, Overcast, and Cave In.

Despite living in the same area, the two only came into contact during the fall of 2004 when Iconslaughter responded to an advertisement posted in a local record shop. Since that time, they have been prolific in their compositions, a few of which have been released in demo form.

Extinction Agenda represents sincerity and determination in a scene bursting at the seams with trend. They draw their inspiration directly from the source of extreme metal, as opposed to streamlining within the latest flair and fashion. They temper the fury of traditional European thrash and death metal with a competent, provocative lyrical prowess centereded firmly in the now.
