Evil or Divine

Biography

Evil or Divine hails from Toronto, Canada. It began in early November, 2004, when Valentin Faluotico (drummer) and Jason Lee (bassist), who had broken up with their previous bands, sought to make their own metal band. This new metal band included Leo Alipour (guitarist), and Nour Mohamoud (keyboard player). Their music was all instrumental in the beginning but they were determined to find a singer who fit their sound. A good friend of the band had recommended vocalist, Eddie Alverenga (vocalist). Eddie’s powerful operatic voice was just the sound Evil or Divine had been looking for.

Evil or Divine set out to become a group different from the norm, finding a unique and diverse sound in the already rehashed Metal scene. The result is a heavy/ melodic dose of progressive power metal. Many of the band’s primary influences can be heard through the bands music. Such artists as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and Black Sabbath are great inspirations in creating the Evil or Divine sound. Each member’s background and influences contributes something different to the band.

Evil or Divine’s first demo is a dark look at the world around us, asking the questions many of us don’t want to ask. Check it out at a location near you.
