Biography

Initially founded in the Fall of 2000, Ekotren are passionate young artists that strive to put out a positive life message through their freshly offered hook-laden, melody driven songs. After having the usual band member shuffle occur, the band consists now of its most potent lineup to date with guitarist Keith Finnell, Ex Twisted Method(Geffen) bassist Derek Desantis, Eric Pottle on drums, DJ/keyboardist Steve Chin and vocalist John Sheldon.

06 was a busy year for EkoTren, from playing “Warped Tour(Orlando)” to sharing stages with, Nonpoint, Skindred, Ankla, Diecast, Silent Civilian, 32 Leaves, Burn Season, Egypt Central and others. Ekotren has left its mark on the Florida circuit, and with over 35,000 friends on myspace and over 250,000 plays they have made their mark online!

Now in 07 EkoTren has teamed up with producer Paul Trust(Producer of Diecast, Endo and others), to create a 3 song EP titled “Destroying The American Dream”, and they are looking forward to touring the country supporting the release of the new EP.
