Death Is Everything
by METALSITES.net @ April 5th, 2007Biography
Death Is Everything has emerged from the Albury/Wodonga Metal scene as a Grinding Gore-pocalypse. Death is Everything started out as Drop-Punt Cunt, a power-violence band which began in July 2005 with Iain and Brendan jamming together at TAFE, with a few gigs including the Day On The Green festival. Jesse was then recruited on vocal duties, and Drop-Punt Cunt released their self titled demo and played its first gig at the Retro Youth Cafe with Distant Illusion, again with Advance To Mayfair and Zenith. Drop-Punt Cunt also opened the day at Infusions Metal on the Murray Festival, along with some of the best local acts Seraphyn, Newskin, Heathen Ritual, Embers Rise and more. After a couple of suspect party shows, Liam completed the line up on Bass, and played his first show with the band at the Albury Battle Of The Bands, although Iain got a bit too drunk, a bit too naked and swore a bit too much, (and half hour later got kicked out of the venue all together) this resulted in the band getting bannned from all future Albury Youth events. This making shit an arse-load harder the band started looking for shows outside of their hometown. As it goes, you can only find sexist, homophobe and dick jokes funny for so long. The band started to take a new approach to their sound, taking heavy influences from bands such as Exhumed, Aborted and The Day Everything Became Nothing a far more guttural sound came out, and the band was then renamed Death is Everything. Michael was then recruited as a second guitarist, and wrote with the band for a good 2 months until leaving due to conflicts of time with his other project Hollow Point. So, the search for another guitarist was on again. Shortly after this Jesse was ejected from the band due to lack of commitment, amongst other issues. Luckily Ben (Vocals) and Alex (Guitar) jumped on board straight away, and the band got back to writting. At last the band had a comitted line-up, and have just released a 3-track demo cd-r, and have many new records planned for 2007.
