Crucifix Doll: A Core of Mischief Raising a ruckus and turning heads across the Pacific coast, the “mischief-core” band, Crucifix Doll, is now making waves over Southern California as a force to be reckoned with. Formed in 1998 in Colville, a small town in northern Washington, vocalist Kalen Chase and keyboardist Branden Krull collectively moved to Hollywood to attend Musician’s Institute where they were joined by guitarist “Chicago” Dan Johnson, bassist Tyson Strom and drummer Dan Faraci. Realizing they radiated a unique sound of their own, the band quickly began recording sessions for their debut album, Fuck This Flower, released in late 2004. With a growing fan base across the south land, Crucifix Doll was named one of the five most popular bands in the inland empire citing their massive rock opera shows and slew of guest appearances as the spark that fuels the fire of their satirical humor and abstract views of making their mark on the industry. As 2005 becomes a year planned with tour dates and live show appearances to support their premiere album release, the west coast should expect a plethora of surprises from the hard core quartet beginning with a handful of bookings across Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
