The legend or Beliar.....

The winter of 2007 is the time Beliar started to write dark, atmospheric, bombastic songs. A mix of black and trash metal is what Beliar stands for. Keyboards combined with heavy guitars, speedful drums and a growl from hell.

In the beginning Mauro was doing the vocal parts, but things didn't work out with him so we decided he could better leave, and from that moment Surtur took over the vocals in combination with his bass guitar. Beliar started writing songs as 'Northern Sky' and 'Gates of time', these songs are more trashy. But Beliar decided to choose the darker path and the result were songs like 'Saga of the Countess of Woods' and 'Psychic Entropy', full of bombastic guitars, symphonic keyboard melodies, and blast beats.

The first year Beliar played 17 gigs at stages like Dynamo, Nieuwe Nor, Oefenbunker and much other stages in the Netherlands.

At the moment Beliar is touring with their demo bringing 5 songs. Some places where we play are: Dynamo Switserland, Poland, and a lot in the Netherlands (more info at the gigs part of our website) Beliar is also busy writing new material for their next release. The next release is going to be a concept EP about a legend from the southern regions of the Netherlands called 'De Bokkerijders' more information will follow soon.
