9xDead

Biography

Gary, Chris & Paul formed the basis of 9xdead in 1998. We split later that year due to personal issues. Gary & Chris decided to reform 9xdead mid 1999 with the help of a couple of others (who lasted less than 3 months) and played our first live show in the Autumn of 1999. We met Owen who was to be 2nd guitarist but who ended up singing and being 1st guitarist, we managed a handful of shows, then in the Autumn of 2000 we enlisted the services of Rachel to come in and provide 2nd guitar.

We recorded our demo that Winter. Another line-up change came when Owen went awol in the summer of 2001. Paul rejoined in August of 2001, but had to leave the band late 2001, due to a brain tumour. Chris decided to quit after Christmas, Owen rejoined in January 2002, Rachel then went onto to fill the vacant Bass slot. Owen decided to leave us at the end of August 2005 to concentrate on a covers band, Adam Rykala took over the axeman slot, Dafydd Dearson takes over vocal duties early September 2005.

We released a CD through Valiant Death Records USA in June 2003.

We recorded a new studio album in July 2006, it will be available in the Autumn.

We're now fishing for a new label.

We class ourselves as Dark Rock, we basically mix Goth, Punk & Metal
